Sally Hansen's eight new LE Diamond Strength shades really don't look like a fall collection. Flecked duochromes ranging from vivid orange to bright purple, the colors would have made more sense in Summer. They're superficially a lot like Color Club's Take Wing collection...from Spring. There are eight shades, but I only got five. I have a theory about this collection. Their Spring LE's from this line had a 'pattern, ' four base colors and four "glitter overcoats". I think this new Fall collection has a more subtle pattern, four sheers for layering and four to wear on their own. I don't have Moonlit Dance, Twist Of Lime, or Tender Teal, but I'd bet that the first is sheer and the other two aren't. It's a hunch.

I'd have loved this either way, sheer or not. It's an odd shade, but in a very cool way. The gold shift suggested by the bottle is there, but its real effect most of the time is to make it shift between a cool-toned purple and a much warmer red-violet. Photos could never do a shade like this any justice. The formula was great. Full opacity at 2-3 coats and crazy shine even without a top coat.

It was fun to play with too. I just got Tonight's Gonna Be A Good Night from Wet n Wild's Fergie line for ascantling. Mini review here, I think the two glitters in it are too different from one another to work well over a simple cream, which is why I threw it over All Aglow's flecked duochrome for a more interesting base. I was really happy with the result.

Personally, I don't like pink or orange, so Ruby Ring wasn't right for me at all. I bought it thinking it was sheer like some of the other shades, but it's as opaque as All Aglow, needing 2-3 coats to hide the nail line. If you love brights though, this shade is a MUST! The glowing orange shift is *strong*...it's outrageous and stunning and bold and just gorgeous.

The other three shades I chose from this collection are very sheer, so I'm only showing them layered. I was very pleasantly surprised that they paired so excellently with Sinful Colors' Enchanted collection. They're almost drugstore versions of Ozotic's 900 series...HOORAY!!!

It was pure serendipity that I even boughtSparkling Rosé. I'd passed on it before, but then I saw it in sunlight and what looked like a baby pink turned out to be very sheer, with flecks shifting between soft cool-toned pink that borders on purple and a warm gold with rare hints of green. The photo above is one layer, but the real magic happens with a second layer. It's hard to keep from posting dozens of photos of it.

At one coat over white, it's opalescent with the slightest hint of blue. Over black, it's a moderate dose of duochrome shimmer. As usual with these, the magic happens at two coats.

So...overall? Well....I love these!! The formulas are terrific, the shimmer is brilliant, they shine like crazy on their own (though I use top coat), and that duochrome shift!! Dazzling! My recommendations would beSparkling Rosé for everyone, because it's gorgeous. Ruby Ring is great for for pink-lovers. I'd call Crystal Beading a must-have, but I'd only recommend Blue Frosting too if you like layering over white and pastel. All Aglow is good and really interesting, but not essential.

Not surprisingly, conventional medicine’s answer to this widespread problem is to prescribe antifungal pills that are often ineffective and come with serious side effects, ranging from rashes and GI issues to potential liver damage.

However, as with all skin issues, I find that toenail fungus is typically an outward manifestation of an underlying health issue inside of your body.

Nail & Toenail Fungus Treatment

After working with thousands of patients in my clinic, I’ve seen time and again that relentless skin issues—including toenail fungus, eczema, dandruff, psoriasis, hives, athlete’s foot and ringworm—are most often caused by Candida overgrowth.

Candida is a type of yeast that naturally lives in your body. However, when there is an overabundance of Candida, it disturbs a healthy gut balance.

So while you may be doing all you can to control your toenail fungus superficially, the key to eliminating the issue for good is to address the underlying cause of the infection.

Treating The Root Cause Of Toenail Fungus

Let’s discuss how an infection in your gut can lead to nail fungus. Then, we’ll cover the natural nail fungus killers you can take to rid yourself of nail fungus for good.

As I mentioned above, toenail fungus is often a sign of an underlying infection such as Candida overgrowth. However, plenty of environmental and lifestyle factors can contribute to toenail fungus. MCT oil contains caprylic acid, a medium-chain fatty acid that creates an inhospitable environment for bacteria and even impacts the growth of bacteria.5 Although there are still studies being conducted on the antibacterial and antimicrobial effects of medium-chain fatty acids, we do know that caprylic acid is beneficial in reducing bacterial overgrowth in the gut that could lead to Candida overgrowth, making it an excellent natural nail fighter.

Ginger is another powerful natural nail fungus killer because it contains gingerols and shogaols. These inflammation-fighting, antifungal components of the ginger root support a healthy balance of bacteria and help fight bad bacteria such as yeast and Candida albicans.6

I did not like this product , I tried the shade snow blast and gave it a shot again but did not like how my nails turned out. Wasn’t for me, although Sally Hansen is a great brand just didn't like this product.

I would love to say that this worked, as the concept is really cool! However, that is not the case at all. If anything, this looks more like caked on gloop than anything else. It did not crackle effect at all. I even used high quality nail polish underneath it, followed all of the directions and everything. This is more of a mess, than an effect. Sad.

So this product isn't very good. Every colour except black is opaque and looks like you painted with water colors. You MUST do a base coat your color a top coat crackle then another top coat. If you don't put a top coat on before the crackle it won't crackle that good at all.

I like crackle nail polish because it hides my oops at times when my nail polish has not cured long enough and I end up getting gouges or some sort of disfiguring look to my clean a beautiful nails. To the rescue, crackle nail polish saves the day. The thing I like about crackle nail Polish is that it drys quickly then allowing me to use my Sally Hanson nail hardener as a top coat providing a wonderful shine. I have used the red crackle, gold crackle and the silver crackle. Sally Hansen crackle breaks apart nicely and quickly than some other brands I have tried. I really don't like the brush as it seems narrow and therefore you need to swipe about 4 times verses 3 with other brands leaving an uneven colour. What really surprised me was how fast my bottles of crackle dried out. Not a happy camper, what a waste! For variety sake, I put tape on an angle on 1/2 of my nail and the crackly silver colour on the other half. Nice look. For a cost of about $7.00, you could wait for the crackle to go on sale and use a coupon and get it for cheaper.

While perusing the shelves of my local drugstore, I came across a new nail polish product, Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat. I remember the “crackle” style nail polishes from 10 years ago, but being a young girl at the time, I never had the chance to try them. However, nothing was going to stop me from trying the crackle polish trend this time around.

I’m sometimes wary of trying new products, but I feel that Sally Hansen creates quality products at reasonable prices. Plus, I’ve been using Sally Hansen’s Hard As Nails for years with great results.

Sally Hansen provides a video full of tips about application, so after reviewing that and the package instructions, I was ready to begin.

First, I painted a base coat on my nails. Since it’s summer, I went with a bright fuchsia shade on all nails, except for a teal shade on my ring finger nails. I used Sinful Colors Professional nail polish in

The Sally Hansen tutorial suggests applying two coats and allowing nails to dry completely before applying the Crackle Overcoat, so that’s what I did.

… and I did not care for the results. The nail polish appeared clumpy and very few “cracks” appeared. I was disappointed, but decided to give it another try.

After using nail polish remover to clean most of the polish off, I quickly reapplied the base coats where necessary and allowed my nails to dry once again. Then I went ahead and applied a

Thinner and lighter coat of the Crackle Overcoat. As the polish dried, many more cracks began to appear, allowing the base coat colors to peek through. I was a million times more pleased with this look:

Cute, right? After allowing the Crackle Overcoat to dry, I applied the Sally Hansen Hard As Nails as a top coat. The top coat added extra shine to my nails and made the contrast between the white and bright colors pop that much more.

From my experience, I recommend applying a thin layer of the Crackle Overcoat for best results – don’t lay this stuff on thick; it just won’t work if you do. Also, don’t forget to apply a clear top coat. Those two steps combined really make all the difference.

The application was a bit difficult since the brush is rather small and the polish comes out thick, but after experimenting, I was pleased with my final look. I may try some other crackle polishes soon for comparison, but I did like the Sally Hansen product overall.
